Matte pink lipsticks

Pink lipsticks are light to medium shades on the blue side of red, from pale ballet pink and rose to bright fuchsia and orchid. Cooler pinks lean towards violet and look fresh and bright; pinks closer to red look rosier and a little warmer. Saturation decides how bold a pink reads, from a soft wash of colour to a vivid statement. A matte finish shows full, flat colour with no shine, so a matte shade reads on the lips very close to its hex value. With no gloss to catch the light, matte formulas make the colour itself the whole effect, and they tend to emphasise the outline of the lips.
