About Viola
The Viola shade encyclopedia is a neutral reference to lipstick shades, run by Aous Labs LLC, which also makes Viola, an iPhone app for trying lipstick shades on your own face.
Who runs the site
Aous Labs LLC runs itsviola.com. The encyclopedia has a page for every lipstick shade in the Viola catalogue, giving its colour values, undertone, depth, colour family and closest matches. Shades are also grouped by brand, by colour family (such as red or nude) and by undertone (such as cool or warm). The glossary defines the terms used, and the methodology explains how every number is computed.
The Viola app
Viola is the companion iPhone app. This site describes a shade in words and numbers; the app shows it on your face through the camera. Viola on the App Store.

Email hello@itsviola.com. Corrections are welcome, for example a shade name or colour value that does not match the brand's published swatch; please include the address of the page.
