Matte coral lipsticks

Coral lipsticks are light, saturated shades between red, pink and orange, the colours of coral, watermelon, peach and salmon. They sit on the warm side of red and read bright and lively. A coral closer to red looks like a light warm red, while one closer to orange looks peachier and more golden. A matte finish shows full, flat colour with no shine, so a matte shade reads on the lips very close to its hex value. With no gloss to catch the light, matte formulas make the colour itself the whole effect, and they tend to emphasise the outline of the lips.
