What it contains
One row for every shade in the Viola lipstick catalogue, as of the snapshot of 24 October 2026: the brand and shade name, the finish, the hex value, and the values computed from that hex. The computed fields are sRGB, CIELAB lightness L*, a* and b*, chroma, hue angle, and the undertone, depth, colour family and saturation classes. The methodology sets out every formula and threshold.
Each row matches a shade page on this site, which adds the shade's nearest matches by ΔE2000. The same data is grouped by colour family, for example red, nude and pink, by undertone, and by brand.

Limits
Each hex is a published swatch value, not a measurement of the product, and colour on a screen differs from colour on the lips. The classifications are colour-theory heuristics with fixed thresholds. The limits section of the methodology covers both.
